I have a terrible (wonderful!) sweettooth, so when I learned that Sweet Noshings, a new candy shop in Overton Square had opened a few doors down from where I was taking pictures, I had to make that my next stop on that day! Located at 2113 Madison Avenue (a few steps down from The Attic), Sweet Noshings offers all your favorite candies by lb (gummie worms, gumballs, etc.), in addition to gourmet popcorn + coffee. They also serve a few fresh baked treats as well. They offer samples of the popcorn (SO good!), and whether you like sweet or salty, you’re sure to find an instant fave. I left with a bag of the Dill flavor and was seriously sad when it was gone lol. I chatted briefly with the owner, Leena Asbridge, and learned that they’d initially planned for a different concept; I’d say they made a good choice! They’ve only been open since November, so don’t worry, you haven’t missed out on the yumminess for that long. Next time you’re in Overton Square, swing by and take a quick snack break. I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed. They do have seating areas near the windows, so you can enjoy a cup of coffee or popcorn and people watch!
