It’s been 7 years since Rachel Zoe released her first book Style: A to Zoe, and her much-anticipated follow up, Living in Style: Inspiration and Advice for Everyday Glamour (available today) is a fantastic extension and does not disappoint. As a fan of Zoe’s work, watching her grow her brand over the years and become so much more than just a fashion stylist (designer and media editor now fit under that chic umbrella) has been so inspiring. To know she started off as a fashion assistant at a teen magazine and worked tireless for years to build an empire for herself and family gives me confidence that anything is possible if you’re dedicated and work hard. But back to the book. Where Style: A to Zoe gave you a blueprint on what you’d need in order to be the most stylish version of yourself, Living in Style gives you the extra dressings. Zoe covers all bases in this tomb: her wardrobe (you learn how she developed her personal style and tips on how to hone yours), her home + entertaining (her favorite room in her house is her bedroom because of the natural light), and her studio. She also touches on beauty and her go-to products. She also shares some never before photos of her and her family, and some fantastic fashion reference photos that will make you scream a lil bit with delight. My only wish? That there was more coverage of her home and entertaining (if you watched season 4 of her The Rachel Zoe Project, you know her home is bananas!) BUT, that leaves material for book number 3, maybe?? This is a must-have coffee table for those looking to live in (better) style.
