A few weeks ago I finally made my way over to Bar Louie, one of the newer pubs that’s popped up over in Overton Square over the last year. I was in the area working on a freelance project, so we decided to take a break to grab a bite and take in their Happy Hour. We were starved, so for appetizers I ordered the Trio Dips & Chips (salsa, guacamole, queso, crispy tortilla chips) + he ordered the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread (Buffalo Chickengrilled chicken, green onion, blue cheese crumbles, buffalo sauce, smoked onion ranch, provolone, mozzarella). There’s no way to mess up chips + dip so they were the normal fare, but the flatbread was SO. GOOD. It’s an appetizer, but you can definitely have it for a quick lunch/small meal (like he did) and be set. I was craving a burger so I ordered the Southwest burger with fries (pepper jack, fresh jalapeño, guacamole) + an ice cold brew. While I would have added a few more spices to the patty to balance out the heat from the jalapeños, all in all the burger was good. The fries were seasoned to perfection, so I could’ve noshed on them all day. There were a few other dishes on the menu that I want to try so I’ll definitely be going back. They get crazy busy at night, so if you’ve yet to go, visit during your lunchbreak or during happy hour (M-F 4p-7p), They have quite a few specials on the menu so you can sample with friends w/o going broke!
