Must-Have Accessory | Slouchy Beanie

UO BDG Cuffed Rib-Knit Beanie $19

A beanie is nothing new-you wore them as a kid, trudging through heavy snow on your walk from home or flipping around in a skate-park. They’ve had a resurgence as the accessory to up your style’s cool factor, though, so here are a few I’ve found to add to your look.

The key to pulling off the slouchy beanie is to get one that is a little big so that there’s gathering in the back, Β placement (have enough hair out so that your head doesn’t look weird), and color. It can complement your chosen palette (say a gray beanie while wearing black + white or plaids), or it can add a pop of color or patterns. I prefer them in a simple solid thin knit, but whichever way you wear them, just be confident with it.
