I fell in love with Banana Republic’s Faux-Shearling Vest ($150) the moment I walked into the store and saw it. I’ve never been one for outerwear vests (I’ve owned a few cotton ones here + there for extra layering pieces), but after purchasing a utility vest from Old Navy last Spring and getting tons of wear out of it, I realized how versatile they could be. I’ve been wanting to add a moto one to my wardrobe (I lucked up on a faux leather bomber from Target at the end of Spring and wanted to have an alternative piece to wear) but had yet to see one on the market, but I saw this one Friday and went a little insane. I tried it on and fits so well-it has a slightly drapey effect so it’s soft, not rigid and the arms are cut a little wider so layering it over a thicker knit won’t be a problem. I did not want to take it off (a few tears formed when I did). I can’t get it yet (pesky budget), but seriously, this is the vest of dreams. Over long sleeved tees, dresses, even a chambray shirt, so many outfits can be built around this dynamic little vest. I’m stacking my coins and hopefully (hopefully!) it won’t sell out before I can get it. Do you own a moto vest? How do you wear yours?
