Product Review | StriVectin Repair + Protect Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 | KP FUSION
Moisturizer and sunscreen should be a part of everyone’s daily skincare routine, especially during the warmer months since we spend so much more time outside (even you oily gals). The added protection against UV-Rays, sun damage, and signs of premature aging are a given, but if you’re someone that loves wearing makeup, the right moisturizer can help give you an even, more flawless base. A few weeks ago I received an opportunity to review StriVectin’s Repair + Protect Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30, and I gotta say, this is a damn good moisturizer. It’s thick without being heavy or greasy, so skin immediately soaks it up. About 10 minutes after applying, my face feels soft and supple, and has a slight glow. I’m lucky that wrinkles aren’t a big issue for me yet, but I am dealing with a slight change to my skin’s texture, so this moisturizer has been a great compliment to a new face wash + serum that I’m testing out. It has a light, medicinal scent (which I actually like) and again, it works great under my makeup (with or without primer). Why it’s so good? NIA-114. From the website: Initially invented by two biochemists searching for a cure to skin cancer, StriVectin discovered that NIA-114 revitalizes, hydrates, and transforms skin. NIA-114 is a unique and patented technologically advanced form of Niacin that nourishes the skin surface to address multiple visible signs of aging and give skin a more healthy and radiant appearance. This breakthrough skin care molecule powers each and every StriVectin formula and is scientifically proven to reinvigorate the skin surface for optimal performance, strengthen and nourish the moisture barrier, inhibit the impact of environmental aggressors and intensify the efficacy of other ingredients. I apply twice a day (on my neck and chest as well since that area is exposed to the sun) and I love how my skin feels. It’s a bit pricier than what I’ve used before ($89 for 1.7 oz), but because it’s so concentrated, a little goes a very long way (I’ve been using it for almost a month and have barely made a dent in it). Overall, I’m very impressed with this moisturizer and will be looking into some of their other products soon. You can purchase it via their site, Drugstore.com, Ulta or via Amazon. Have you tried any of Strivectin’s products before? What were your results? Disclosure: I received a press sample of StriVectin, but all opinions are honest and my own.
