I’m not sure why but I’m kinda sorta obsessed with obtaining a pair of white booties this season. I know some people think the trend is kinda out there, especially with Labor Day traditionally signifying it’s time to pack up your whites, but I feel like that fashion rule got broken a loooong time ago.
I think white booties look super modern, if not futuristic, and I want to wear a pair with either a black leather skirt and grey sweater, OR my favorite black denim and a leather jacket.
I’ve been wanting a pair for a few weeks, and when I watched Jacey (Damsel in Dior) try on the white ones from Balenciaga in her instastory I was like whuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I really need a pair. Ha! I loved the shape of them (but can I afford them?? Tuh!), so I’m on the hunt for an equally stylish yet much more affordable pair. You have to be careful with white shoes in general because they can look real trashy if the material/style isn’t right, but I also don’t want to invest too much into this trend. An ankle boot style is safer because you can wear them with a skirt or pants, and for myself, personally, I need a pointed or squoval toe.
