I’ve been wanting to host a blogger meetup for a while, and last Thursday The Guest House at Graceland graciously partnered with me to do just that. I’m a very big proponent of community over competition, so as the blogging industry grows here, one of my personal goals is to help nurture the community and hopefully help those that share the same values with their platforms do the same.
While it’s easy to meetup at any time in smaller groups at home or at a coffee shop, in order for bloggers to be able to grow their reach and engagement with brands (especially locally), visibility is a must. I’ve worked with The Guest House at Graceland team on a few projects, so when I pitched the idea to them, they were game. Many of the bloggers I invited had yet to visit the hotel, so not only was it a treat for me to get us together, but I knew that the hotel would be able to receive some valuable amplification as well. The hotel is beautiful, so with a glass of bubbly in one hand and our cameras in the other, we took a guided tour over the grounds while catching up with each other.
Bloggers shooting bloggers taking selfies. Blogger inception, lol.
Andrea holding her little baby bump!
While the hotel is connected to Elvis Presley, it’s much more than that. The decor throughout is beautiful (instagrammable spots are plentiful), but it also houses 2 restaurants, a posh bar (I mentioned it in this post), a movie theater that doubles as a concert hall and more. The grounds are lovely, so if you’re planning an event (wedding, conference, or a fun girls night out), it’s a really great option to have on your list.
After taking our tour, we returned to The Founder’s Lounge to enjoy specialty cocktails and savory bites.
I have to learn how to make this. It was so refreshing!
We were treated to Grilled Honey BBQ Salmon w/Mango Stilton Risotto, Roasted French Chicken w/Parmesan Risotto, and Cajun Crawfish w/Pappardelle Pasta. All were delicious but my fave was the salmon!
Ms. Anna was so sweet and funny. Her and Taylor (not mentioned) met us in the Founder’s Lounge and gave us the tour of the hotel.
My blogger guests: Mallory, Shelby, Caitlin, Michael, Belinda, Carmeon, Q, Andrea, Bianca, Desiree, Denzel and Andrea. They all blog about a wide range of topics including fashion + style, beauty, motherhood, interiors, Memphis, food and more, so check out their blogs when you can!
Thank you so much toThe Guest House at Graceland team for a wonderful evening. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely!
