My Favorite Brow Products

If your eyes are the windows to your soul, then your brows are the curtains that frame them. There are so many brow products on the market right now (seriously, it seems like brands are coming out with new stuff every week), and while it’s fun to try them out, there’s nothing like finding your holy grail, ride or die products. I personally love a full yet groomed brow: I think they make you look more youthful, and paired with a good mascara, you can skip a lot of other steps in your beauty routine when you need to.

Beauty Favorite Brow Products

I test out both drugstore and higher end products, so price doesn’t matter; there are certain products that I find myself constantly going back to. At this point, I’m giving up the ghost and sticking to what I know WORKS, and wanted to share those with you guys.

M.A.C. Eye Brows Styler Pencil

M.A.C. Eyebrow Styler ($19)
Out of all of the brow pencils that I’ve ever tried, this is the brow pencil that I constantly go back to the most. It’s mechanical and the pencil itself is thin but not too thin, so you can get that precision you want when you’re going for a really clean, groomed brow. I like the shade Spiked because it’s dark enough to match my brows but doesn’t make them look heavy. It lasts long and doesn’t smudge either. Even when my brows aren’t the cleanest, I can use this and it gives the illusion that they are perfect.

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Brow Wiz

This is a very close runner up the M.A.C. Eyebrow Styler. If I can’t find the M.A.C. pencil then I will go for this one. There really isn’t a big difference between the two to me (this one might be a bit more waxy), but finding the right shade (in stock) has always been the issue.

Glossier Boy Brow

Glossier Boy Brow ($16)
The more I use this brow gel, the more obsessed I become with it. Sure, you can use clear mascara (or even a brown mascara) to set your brows, but there’s something about this formula that not only sets, but fluffs and tints your brows so that even if you’re using other products, it makes them look more natural once you’re done. If you already have thick brows then you can use this alone for grooming and to fill in any spots.

Black Radiance Precision Brow Sculptor

Black Radiance Precision Brow Sculptor ($4.99)
I picked this up on the fly and it worked almost as well as my M.A.C. pencil. The key, again, is the slimness of the pencil so it let’s you slowly build your brow without looking like Oscar the Grouch. My only complaint is that it’s a little more soft than what I like, so if you twist it up a bit it will easily break but with it being under $5, that’s not a big enough issue for me not to use.

e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit

e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit ($3)
So I go through phases where I sometimes want to use a gel or pomade on my brows, and I actually like the formula in this kit. It’s soft and buildable, and the shade has enough ash in it so that your brows won’t look too heavy when done. The powder/gel combo can be used alone or with a pencil as well, but I recommend using a different brush to apply it, preferably one that is very stiff. Otherwise, the application won’t be as precise.

NYX COSMETICS Micro Brow Pencil

NYX COSMETICS Micro Brow Pencil ($10)
I consider this a drugstore dupe of the ABH Brow Wiz Pencil. I typically pick this up if I’ve run out of the others and I don’t have time (or feel like) going to Ulta-I can get it at CVS or Target as well. My only complaint is that the product seems to run out pretty fast, so it’s more cost efficient to get one of the others vs constantly replacing this. It’s a great backup option, though.

it can take a little trial and error, but once you find the products that you absolutely love, stick with those and stock up versus constantly trying the newest thing that drops.
