September Transition

Graphic Print Tunic Skinny Denim

The temps dropped to the 60s last Saturday night, and while some people (like my friend Andrea, lol) were shaking their fists at the sky, I was rejoicing: Fall is indeed almost here. This is truly my favorite season of all, especially when it comes to fashion. In the Summer, it’s so hot so you really dress moreso for comfort (because who the hell wants to burst into flames or a sweaty mess as soon as they step out of their door), but in Fall, you can take your time in figuring out what your aesthetic will be, what colors you’ll be into, even how you’ll accessorize each look. Obviously denim with be a huge part of mine, but I definitely want to try out different styles.

Curves with Purpose, an online retailer that specializes in clothes for women size 12+ gifted me some cute pieces to help me transition seasons in style. The moment I slipped on these frayed hem skinnies, I was obsessed.

They only have a small amount of stretch, but they feel really good, almost like a jegging, but the material is heavier and still maintains structure like a traditional denim. They aren’t quite high-waisted but they do come up higher, and I also like the fact that the waist slightly curves, so if you do have a little booty, you won’t experience a lot of gaping.

It’s still warm during the day so easy tunics and tees are a given, and the design on this graphic top keeps it fun. The color is so pretty, and although it isn’t necessarily “Fallish”, because we haven’t quite crossed over that line yet, it works just fine.

My friends laugh at me because I’m constantly checking the weather app but I don’t care, lol. I’ve been done with Summer for a while and can’t wait til the 60s and 70s are the norm!

What are your favorite transitional pieces?
