Ballet Memphis debuted their Nutcracker show over the weekend, and leading up to its opening night, they collaborated with one of my faves, 17 Berkshire, for a special shoot (and dessert) and guess who got to shoot it?!?

Located at 600 Monroe in The Edge District (Marshall Arts if you’re from Memphis), Edge Alley opened last July and is a stylish, modern cafe and coffee shop. Designed with an open floor plan and community seating, the picturesque space is the perfect spot for both quick meetings with fellow creatives, and chill time with your favorite book and cup of joe.
It’s always fun seeing your creative peers come full circle in their work. Back in 2014, Kristin Wolter-Canfield of Everbloom Designs held a floral design workshop that I covered for the blog, and this month, she’s finally opening her own studio! Take a peek at her Creative Space.
It had been over 15 months since my last shoot with DJ Coolly, but with gigs at SXSW + Memphis Fashion Week on the immediate horizon, she wanted to get some pictures done and booked a portrait session last month.
Ugh, I need Spring to hurry up + get here! Not only because I’m ready to shed all of these heavy layers, but I’m really ready to get out and do more photography work.
