Memphis is home to so many cool, talented creatives, so it’s always a pleasure to share when they do something innovative and fun. Fashion Illustrator and Travelwear Designer Kris Keys is partnering with ArtUp to showcase her first collection, Hematology, with the opening reception this Saturday, Jan 12, 2019 from 5pm-7pm at the South Main Artspace Lofts.
One of the coolest things I get to do because of this here blog is collaborate with local businesses and brands on fun projects. Earlier this month, Falling Into Place shot the campaign for the release of their new Memphis Tees and I got be apart of it!
I’ve always been a DIY type of girl when it comes to beauty treatments. Hair, nails, skincare-I learned how to do it all on my own (I mean, it’s FUN), but I don’t always have time to indulge at home. I’ll always do my own hair + face masks, but thankfully, my bestie is a nail tech, and I’m teaming up with European Wax Center to help me keep my brows and other grooming needs in check!
I had a coffee chat scheduled with a new blogger earlier this week, and instead of coffee we decided to meet up at The Nutrition Hub, a new smoothie bar and dietary supplement store in Germantown.
I’ve been wanting to host a blogger meetup for a while, and last Thursday The Guest House at Graceland graciously partnered with me to do just that.
I was cooped up in my apt all last week bc of emergency dental surgery, but I was finally able to get out and have some fun on Saturday at Eclectic Eye’s Trunk Show with Krewe Eyewear.
David Quarles IV is a soul that you’ll love immediately upon impact. I’d only heard good things about him before we met through mutual connections throughout the city, but once I finally met him? I knew that he was an artist to know.
I’m a born and raised Memphian, so I’ve always been aware of the city’s rich (and sometimes painful) history, but nothing could’ve prepared me for how my eyes were opened to its beauty during the recent #SteepedInHistory Tour Experience with Toyota.
Located at 600 Monroe in The Edge District (Marshall Arts if you’re from Memphis), Edge Alley opened last July and is a stylish, modern cafe and coffee shop. Designed with an open floor plan and community seating, the picturesque space is the perfect spot for both quick meetings with fellow creatives, and chill time with your favorite book and cup of joe.
It’s always fun seeing your creative peers come full circle in their work. Back in 2014, Kristin Wolter-Canfield of Everbloom Designs held a floral design workshop that I covered for the blog, and this month, she’s finally opening her own studio! Take a peek at her Creative Space.
